Building a Keezer Style Kegerator from a Refrigerator

I would think the simplest thing to do is to use the fridge as is. A standing fridge can typically fit around 4 kegs. You can drill your faucets through the door or use cobra taps if you would like. Additionally, you then have the top freezer for use, whether you want to store hops or just have...

best mini fridge for 4 kegs

I have an old (1995 or so) BeverageAir single tap I converted and it fits 4 pin-locks perfectly (with the CO2 outside). You may be able to get one used for cheap, but new they are really pricey (but last forever, as you can see by the age of mine).

Beer and CO2 Line Length Questions

I had a commercial kegerator along with my homebrew one and had no issues when I followed this timeline with commercial kegs similar to Bud Light. Maybe it will work for you. 1. Make sure the keg doesnt jostle when you drive it from the store. 2. Get it in the kegerator and let it sit for a...

    My keezer......

Get some Perlicks on that baby. The finish work is far too pretty for those faucets! Regardless, it looks great. When you say you are going to leave it natural, do you mean use a natural stain, or just not stain? I used a natural stain on my shelving I built and it kept the integrity of the...

New into kegging, just received recond. kegs, IMO pretty big dents. Acceptable?

Wow, I bought my kegs off of craigslist and cornykeg.com and looking at these, my kegs look absolutely pristine. You guys have made me now consider my kegs to be better than I originally thought. I was worried about much smaller dents.

    Keg fittings and confusion

I would get yourself some 1/4" tubing for the CO2 side, if for nothing else than it is so much cheaper than good beverage line. Save the extra beverage line for future uses.

    Worried about Frigidaire Refrigerator

When I helped my dad build a kegerator in a normal fridge for a commercial keg, we simply built a wooden shelf using some leftover wood. We cut a length the width of the fridge and made it the height of the compressor hump. We then screwed in boards to that wood and slid the small L it formed...

Cider newbie - process questions for kegged sweet hard force carbed cider

Your method could work out, but I will let you know mine and you can compare. I use the same method for the juice. Store bought, but I used Montrachet yeast (champagne yeast, the type used in apfelwine) along with 2 pounds corn sugar. I don't think this will make much of a difference in how...

    Stupid Keezer build question

The other two posters have the most likely reason, to even out the air temperature. If the keezer is a coffin style, however, the fan could be used to keep the lines in the tower cooler (resulting in less foamy first pours). Also, they sometimes will use fans outside the keezer but within...

3 or 4 Cornelius keg kegerator?

I recently bought a used Bev Air kegerator off of craigslist that could handle 4 kegs (and mine are pin locks) with the CO2 outside the fridge. New they are absurdly expensive, but last for such a long time that you can find reliable used ones on the cheap if you are lucky.

Leinenkugel sunset wheat clone at what carb?

I have seen wheat beer carbed at higher CO2 levels before, you may want to set the regulator up to more like 16 psi to get desired carbonation for the style. It may be different due to the pact that you are using fruit, but others might have a better idea of what the style would dictate...

Pinhole sized leak on the side of a corny keg . . .

You could always solder it so it doesn't leak and use it as a primary fermenter with something that doesn't put out much krausen (mine is fermenting apfelwine right now). I would stay away from pressurizing it ever again however. One accidental burst of c02 and it might do something terrible...

    Kegerator Questions

What mini fridge did you convert that works for pin lock kegs? Everything I have looked at is too skinny for 2 pin locks (or are you using one ball lock one converted pin all the time?).

Trying to determine when to age/backsweeten a cider.

Hi guys, I have a batch of cider in primary and have a few questions about when certain things should happen to make my cider turn out how I would like. Recipe: 5 gallons apple juice (no preservatives), 2 lb corn sugar, 1 packet dry wine yeast, OG 1.062 Primary is currently a pinlock...
