Anyone recall a podcast where they talk about using a TON of citrus zest?

You definitely can pull some lemon flavors from the SA I really didn't want to do anything but showcase the hop and I loved it Spice really dominated my flavor profile: which wasn't very STRONG but it was definitely the strongest flavor in my brew with a hint of lemon. Next time I'm going to...

Anyone recall a podcast where they talk about using a TON of citrus zest?

I just did a Sorachi Ace american wheat (70% wheat) and I love this hop I used harvested pacman yeast and I really liked how nice it played with the delicate flavors of the beer. I'm going to tweak it a little bit next time I brew it. Mine had a nice spice flavor already from the SA-- adding...

Philadelphia Area - 93.3 WMMR Preston & Steve's Home Brew Contest

P&S announced this morning that everyone who entered will be in the competition. Triumph didn't want to turn away 275 people who entered so they will be announcing how to submit your brew. Just brew your recipe and they'll be in contact with us I guess.

Munich Helles Dead Guy Clone (Extract & AG- see note)

Brewed this about 5 weeks ago 3 weeks in Primary 1.5 weeks in bottle Missed the OG by a lot (1.046) it only fermented down to 1.020 it was my first all grain so it was definitely a poor mash-- too much strike water too much sparge water but somehow we didn't get a good conversion because...

    Sorachi Ace- My "Heffe"

Nailed the OG got a little higher than expected which is better than the alternative (I hate missing low) Added 2 oz of dried lemon peel, decided to not add the lemon-grass. I had a lemon-grass beer (from magic hat) the Friday before I brewed this and I thought it tasted like incense so I...

    Sorachi Ace- My "Heffe"

My LHBS said there isn't enough 2 row to convert the wheat... I've seen 70% wheat recipes before. Does anyone have experience with doing a big wheat bill?

    Sorachi Ace- My "Heffe"

Ok, I dropped the crystal and changed it to American Wheat. It now fits perfectly with BJCP guidelines. Does anyone have any experience with using lemongrass? I think it might complement the SA well with a nice blend of spices and lemon.

It should read lemon peel as opposed to orange peel

    Sorachi Ace- My "Heffe"

How does this look? Not exactly sure what to call this-- it's not really a hefeweizen because of the IBU's. I want to brew a beer to profile the SA but I don't really want to bitter with SA. I want a drinkable brew with a big lemon taste in the May months. Any suggestions?
