Thanks for the feedback everybody, I cut one pretty much exactly to length and left the other a bit longer for sealing/purging the extra keg I've got. Though i realized that the hump of my mini fridge has this odd design where its got a lip on it and the CO2 doesn't sit perfectly on it...
So I'm finally getting my kegerator together, and while everything fits, its a bit snug. Is there any reason not to shorten the gas line to be just what it needs to be? Thanks.
I don't think you want a lid on your brew kettle either. DMS is boiled off during the hour long boil and you want that to happen. Having a closed lid will cause it to condense back into the beer. Just to revisit the stopper issue one more time, a piece of metal under direct heat from a flame...
I've always heard to be wary of bottling near where you do your grain milling due to lacto on the dust that inevitably gets everywhere. Not sure if thats a boogeyman or not, just something that came to mind when I saw your layout
This was exactly my concern. Also, if the chamber is going to be just the right size for the fermenter you may run into the issue that you're actually trapping the heat caused by fermentation. This is pretty interesting, keep us updated.
But you're doing the brewing for them, which is selling them beer. NJ Homebrew Law states pretty clearly that home produced alcohol is for personal or household consumption. I would say "mysteriously" giving it away to someone does not fall within either of those. Though, if you really would...
