    Mead and Cigars

Cigar City Brewing makes a Maduro Brown Ale which I believe uses Spanish Cedar like you would get from a cigar box. Def avoid using actual tobacco as it is poison, just 1 cigarette dissolved in water and consumed can kill you.

Double IPA Chocolate Orange Black Imperial IPA

There is a lot of stuff going on in this beer and you (or more accurately your brain and tongue) might not be able to discern all of the flavors going on at once. Thats not necessarily a bad thing either, it might all meld into an indescribably delicious brew. I suspect to get the levels of the...

Wondering how commercial breweries carbonate in the bottle?

I wouldn't say its largely irrelevant, lots of germans are very proud of their history and try to preserve it (they even banned non traditional music at oktoberfest during certain hours) But the EU got rid of the actual law

Wondering how commercial breweries carbonate in the bottle?

Sorry I thought you said bottle condition (you mean just adding wort during secondary in a closed system right?)

Wondering how commercial breweries carbonate in the bottle?

Yeah but then there is sediment/clarity issues, some germans like beer with yeast but most breweries keep their beers crystal clear (unless its a hefe...)

    Lemon Tincture

get some lemons (I would recommend organic since the skin is where most of the pesticides are and we need the skin) zest them (that is take off the yellow part of the skin but leave the white pith) pour some alcohol in a bottle or some sort of container you can keep sealed for a couple weeks...

    Wine/apple jack

You mean freeze distilling? Just throw fermented product in the freezer until some ice forms, remove ice, drink concentrated liquid that's left behind

    Mein erster Apfelwein

Cane sugar is fine Also american brown sugar is just cane sugar and molasses... so if you just bought a jar of molasses it would be cheaper (and they probably sell that in austria?) Prost :)

Need help with a little project... creativity needed

Flour doesn't do anything for yeast (they can't eat it...) You could probably find wheat/barley on the island for beer if you wanted (as for specialty malts you can make toasted malt but not much else)

    Apfelwein with ale yeast question

It may have a strong yeast flavor (well ester flavor) because its dry so there isn't anything to compete with flavor wise Not that it would be bad... just make sure you like that banana

    Juniper Raspberry Mead?

Juniper berries are something you want to add per berry (not per tsp) Just 5 berries per gallon is enough for juniper flavor
