    Pale Ales coming out dark?

I have a feeling I already know my issue but figured I'd post here just to get some clarification. The last two pale ales I've done have come out a bit darker than I'd expect, one almost to the point of looking like a brown ale. I think the problem stems from using a turkey fryer...

    Just a few pics

Finally started kegging a little over a week ago. Left keg is AHS Lawnmower Lager and right is AHS Low Carb Ale AHS Low Carb Ale in a classic Stardust mug that my brother got me. This is a pretty tasty beer for it being low carb. Great light drinking beer for this hot Houston weather...

Belgian Strong Ale Grain to Glass in 4 weeks?

Why rush it? In the end you'll be disappointed with the end result.

    Question regarding the secondary

Yes, it will clear if left in the primary.

    Johnson Controller question

I am going to do my first ale in my fridge with johnson controller this weekend and I was wondering what temperature to set the controller at. I was thinking 65* degrees since it has a +/- range of 4*. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Straight from primary to bottling bucket - How do you avoid trub?

Excuse my ignorance but won't this possibly introduce oxidation since you will be pulling through the cheesecloth/hop bag holes?

Straight from primary to bottling bucket - How do you avoid trub?

Just keep the siphon a little above the trub. You should be able to see the trub in the siphon tubing if you are too close, just pull up a little and it should start to flow clear. That's how I do it. I get a little sediment in the bottling bucket but nothing major.

    Order not shipped

Only thing I'm upset about is that I was stupid and didn't buy any of the anniversary kits.

    Two of my finished Beers

I used Kolsch Yeast on it.

    Newbie Questions

I don't know the answer to #1 but for #2 you will want to wait until your fermentation is done to transfer to secondary. You can either add your hops directly or put them in a sanitized hop bag and place them in. Do not stir them in, that will oxidate your beer.

    Two of my finished Beers

Both of these are AHS extract kits. The first is the West Coast Pale Ale and the second is the Texas Blond Ale. Both came out way better than expected. They are clearer than the pics portray due to condensation on the glass.

    Order not shipped

Some people need to relax in this thread. If you chose the free shipping you need to read the text there, it states that it takes 2-8 "business days" to ship out. If you wanted it sooner you should have paid for the expedited shipping. I've also been waiting for an order but I knew they...

    beer just hit correct gravity?

You'll want to leave them around 70* to carb up. Did you use an ale yeast or lager yeast for this?
