    Going rate for 5 gallon kegs

    I got some a few weeks back from a soda distributer for $20/each. Not cleaned, but holds pressure. Prior to finding that lead, though, I hadn't seen anything local cheaper than $50. Homebrew stores wanted $60-70.

    Who is your LHBS here in CT?

    Stomp N Crush for me. They are the closest. Support your local businesses. The money you spend there gets spent by the owner and employees back in the community.

    All Grain video I found

    I did almost the same thing. It's easy to get overwhelmed. Infusions, crush, decoctions, sparging, etc. It's really not that hard, but it is more expensive to get started. I imagine it will get harder as I start doing more than simple infusion mashes with batch sparging, but that's good enough...

    Why use liquid yeast?

    Is this true? I always thought that most of the flavor was from the malt and the hops. I know that some Belgian beers get some flavors from the yeast, but I wouldn't say "most".
