    Late hopping and FWH question

I've been reading about late hopping in comparison to early hopping (60 minute vs 10 minute). If I brew an IPA, and FWH then late hop for 10 minutes, is there a need for the full 60 minute boil? Does the FWH need a full 60 minute boil for full bittering, or will the initial steep as it...

Particularly there was a beer from sweet potatoes that was made when pirates took to shore for extended periods of time. I can't find this...

    Growing hops near pine trees?

Hey all.. I've never grown hops because I don't have a lot of vertical room (home owners association prevents me from growing anything that tall). But recently I've been looking into growing hops horizontally. Basically I have about a 30' stretch of dirt where I can place a half wine barrel at...

    Hello from Hayward, CA

Hello from Hayward, CA! I used to brew almost every weekend then didn't brew for several years. Now I'm back into it and loving it. Since December I've brewed an Oatmeal stout, I've got 2 5gal batches currently fermenting, another one just bottled, and am looking forward to the next. Good times.
