Heady Topper- Can you clone it?

I'm sorry in advance for asking because I know the info is probably burried somewhere in this Thread. I've been looking for the last 30min and can't find a definitive post. Can someone convert the best clone recipe (is that the one on page 1?) to a Partial Mash recipe?

Heady Topper Clone PM Conversion? Sorry!

Hi Friends, I'm sorry in advance for asking because I know the info is probably somewhere in the Heady Topper Clone Thread. I've been looking for the last 30min and can't find a definitive post though. I am looking to convert the best clone recipe to Partial Mash + if anyone has done...

    Ale Pail goes BOOM!

Yeah...I had done that already. There was no stopping this one. I think I may upgrade to a carboy and blowoff soon.

    Ale Pail goes BOOM!

Ok...I left my makeshift blow-off in place and popped the seal on the lid. That small tube blowoff just looked like trouble. Hopefully I won't wake up to a horrible mess in the morning. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Ale Pail goes BOOM!

Ok...I found a small enough tube to fit into the airlock hole tightly....Hopefully this wont burst off again. Here is a pic of my rig job. Jeez....this is crazy.

    Ale Pail goes BOOM!

It's all cleaned up and I'm trying to go back to bed...no pics tonight. I put a new airlock on and it is foaming out all over the place again. It is a bucket so I cant do a blowoff. You think no airlock is ok for the time being?

    Ale Pail goes BOOM!

Holy Crap...I just settled into bead and was drifting off to sleep when I hear... BOOOOM! I jump out of bed thinking NYC is under attack. Sounds like a bomb just went off. Run into the living room but all is quite. But wait.....the door to my wine fridge/fermentation chamber is wide open and...

    home brew supply shops in......NJ!

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Brooklyn Homebrew. It is probably not the most convenient for some NJ people, but if you live or work near manhattan, it is not very deep in Brooklyn. It's a fairly easy subway trip or drive. It is small, but packed to the gills with stuff. They have...

What beer(s) have you lost interest in since homebrewing?

Lost intreats in most magic hats, harpoon, and long trail. They used to some of my favorites.....they just don't do it for me anymore. Over the last 10-15 years they have grown so much as companies... I really feel like the quality has dropped.

    Must-see Sapporo Ad

Which capper do you all recommend? - reviews are so mixed

You do not need anything more than a red wing capper. I have been using mine for almost 6 years. It works great, cheap as dirt, and very compact.

Girlfriend of a brewer-to-be. I need your advice!

He'll be fine. I work 6 days a week and 14 hour days. I still make time to brew every other weekend and manage a fairly active social life. Everyone likes hanging out with the guy who always shows up with delicious homemade beers!

    Mr. Beer...I don't get it...

I have deff had some ok drinkable beers from my mr beer kit. Often time the cans I would get would be looooooong expired though. I blame allot of the nasty beers on that factor. However, I have nothing but love for mr beer. If it wasn't for that kit, this board would be much, much, much, much...

    Why do 10 gallon batches?

10 gallon batches sound awesome. I only brew 5 gal batches but once it is ready Me and my girl drink it in about a week. I literally can't brew it fast enough.

    Brewing with unboiled tap water?

I live in manhattan and we have notoriously awesome water. I never boil or do anything. It goes straight from the tap into the fermenter and tastes great.

First Home Brew Club meeting... How much to bring?

I'm an ex-all grain brewer who brews partial mash extract beers now out of necessity (moved from a house in the suburbs to a small NYC apartment). Honestly, I've been doing the extract thing for a few years now and love it. They are just as tasty. I can bang out three different batches in a day...

    AHS Delirium Tremens Kit?

I pulled the trigger on the kit. I'll report back in 8 to 12 months when it's ready. I'm going to bottle it the proper way with Belgian bottles, corks, and cages.

First Home Brew Club meeting... How much to bring?

Extract hatred is totally unacceptable in a home brew club if you ask me. It is obnoxious and does nothing to further the community. I wouldn't even bother going if that's the attitude they have.
