Which beer faucets do you prefer and why?

I have four Intertap FC faucets and none of them completely close. I put valves on each one of my beer lines to help ensure my Five year old doesn't unload 20 gallons of beer inside of the house.

    Building new lid/collar

I used the method that many others have used in my build: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/new-keezer-build.664378/ The collar is 3/4" Cherry plywood that was doubled up (wider on the outside to go over the front and sides of the freezer for stability). The collar just sits on the...

    New Keezer Build

Update. I got some pictures hung and swapped out the old tv for a Samsung tablet I had laying around to show the tap list. The pictures are behind the keezer are parents related to brewing. From left to right: “Brewing Beer and Ale”, “The Beer Mug”, and “The Beer-Cooler”.

    New Keezer Build

We used a combination of wood glue and staples. You can see in the original pictures posted that we strapped the entire collar together once the collar was put together in order to let everything dry. We used the same glue / staple approach to attached the drip tray to the collar as well which...

    New Keezer Build

I’m using taplist.io: https://taplist.io Free and super easy to use. I bought an Amazon Fire Stick so I could get the app. Given that it’s getting close to prime day I’m assuming you can get a great deal on one of those soon.

    New Keezer Build

Collar is 3/4" Cherry plywood that was doubled up (wider on the outside to go over the front and sides of the freezer for stability). Stain was chestnut. Let me know if you have any other questions! I owe many pay it forwards!

    New Keezer Build

My woodworking buddy stained and clear coated it today. All that is left is drilling some holes for the freezer hinges, secondary regulator and small ac fan and we should be ready to pour beer!

    New RIMS Build

Got it at Sams Club a couple years ago...the bottom shelf is nice because I was able to attach the wood pieces with a bolt, washer and nut.

    New RIMS Build

I Wanted to share my RIMS setup now that it is complete. RIMS tube, Inkbird controller (IPB-16), and all fittings came from Brew Hardware. I attached the controller, RIMS tube and pump to wood which I painted black. Current process is as follows: Heat mash water using RIMS tube Heat sparge...

Brau Supply vs. Inkbird IPB-16 Controller

Hi All, I am trying to get back into homebrewing but things have changed within the past few years! I bought a RIMS tube from Brew Hardware a while back and started building my own controller...then life got in the way. Anyways, I am ready to get back into it and am looking to completing my...

    Wire Gauge Help!

Thanks for the reply. I am unsure about the E-Stop, the drawing is from PJ which I took from another thread. I also made a quick edit to my original post. I will be running a 240 volt 5500 watt element at 120, not a 120 volt 2000 watt element as shown on the drawing.

    Wire Gauge Help!

HI, I am getting ready to wire up my RIMS control panel from the attached diagram. The only difference is I am running a 240 volt, 5500 watt element at 120, not a 120 volt, 2000 watt element at 120. I went to Lowes today to get my electrical wire but wanted to confirm that I got the right gauge...

Comments on my Planned Electric Setup

I figured I would heat my sparge water with my propane burner and transfer it to my cooler using the same pump I would be using for recirculating the mash in my RIMS setup. Once the water was ready to be transferred I would stop the reciurculation on the mash for 5 minutes or so and hook the...

Comments on my Planned Electric Setup

Yes, you are correct. When I said I am not getting a consistent OG I was referring to efficiency. Some brew days I am right on and others I am wildly off. I crush my grain at my local homebrew store so the crush is consistent from batch to batch. I also use Beer Smith. Upon thinking about...

Comments on my Planned Electric Setup

I have been wanting to add electricity to my brew day for quite some time and am hopefully close to pulling the trigger. I have two primary goals: 1) Consistency throughout the mashing process. I started with a cooler and stainless braid setup and just haven't been happy with the consistency...
