I am actually going to be doing a version of this beer again this weekend, I am adding 1/2lb of cara-pils and 1/2 lb crystal 20 and using centennial hops intead of Chinook. Depending on how that turns out I am thinkning of doing a series of beers like this each time changing the hops. Kind of...
I brewed this recently and got more of a citrusy, piney smell and flavors. I was impressed overall. My only complaint is it tasted kind of thin it had a decent (although light) malt profile it just didnt have alot of mouth feel.
I recently did the Chinook IPA kit from Northern Brewer and was pleasantly surprised by it. Nice hop aroma and mildly bitter, a great session beer. I have been thinking about doing some different variations on this theme (IPAs with only one hop variety) just to get a feel for what the...
I use a coopers system and like it I have supplemented it with some other items that did not come with it. If you already have some equipment you probably won't need anything else.
I forgot to order priming sugar and didnt realize it until I had the beer in the bottling bucket. I have powdered and table sugar which one should I use and how much?
I had the same surgery about 5 years ago and I remember being more miserable than i had ever been, but the benefits are definately worth it. Glad to hear you are feeling better!
I made this for my first brew, fermented at 68 for three weeks and after 2 weeks in the bottle it was pretty good, kinda like a steam beer. Five gallons didn't last very long! I might make it again down the road just to see if the experience I've gained since that first time makes any...
I have been brewing for a couple of months now and have been pretty impressed with what I have made. Now I think it is time to step up and brew a recipe of my own. I put this into beer calculus and it tells me to expect a O.G. of 1.069 and a F.G. of 1.017 for a ABV of 6.9. The recipe I have...
I got mine about 6 months ago and carry a Ruger LCP pretty regularly as it is the easiest thing to conceal under just a t-shirt. Sometimes I'll carry a Kel-Tec PF9 or if I have a heavy coat sometimes I'll pack the 5" 1911. Gotta watch "printing" here in TX, it could cost you your license.
I had a SNPA this weekend that looked very similar, except the particles seemed to be finer. After reading this thread I think it was probably hop particles. Tasted fine by the way!
