    Ahh... well, I hope you are right! I am going to transfer it onto some oak chips and bourbon for awhile too. Hopefully, that will hide any off flavors that may come of this mishap!

    Hey, So I think I just made a major boo boo with a beer. I have had it sitting in a primary for a little over a month now. Had a blow off tube going into a growler that had starsan in it. I just moved the fermenter and the growler.... however, I somehow managed to change the pressure...

    Thanks guys! It's funny with those two mentions... the pumpkin ale and vanilla bourbon porter... I've never done a pumpkin ale and zymurgy has an article on bourbon oaked beer this month. I'm thinking a trip to the local home brew store and liquor store might be in order.... parts should be here...

    cool... thanks for the reply. Since the brewery said they use grains of paradise... do you think i should take the rest of the add-ins out... or keep them? I want to get this as close as possible to Rare Vos for my buddies bachelor party..
