    Saison Cottage House Saison

I brewed this up a few weeks ago. I omitted the honey, didn't want to go buy any, subbed in honey malt and used corn sugar instead. Used WLP 565 instead, but kept the hop schedule and pepper the same. The beer is DAMN good. The aroma is really fresh smelling and it is spicy. I think...

Dry Hop - great then grassy

Hi everyone, I dry hopped a pale ale with citra whole leaf hops after kegging with a hop sack. o2 was purged after adding the sack and it sat at 65f for one week. After the week was up I removed the hop sack, purged again, then force carbed at 30psi for 2days and then set to serving pressure...

    Blonde ale gone dark...

Hi everyone, My intention was to brew a 5 gal blonde ale and I used 2-row and Caramel 20 for my grains. It turned out a lot darker than I had anticipated, I probably measured the caramel incorrectly or something. Anyway, I continued with my plan and used (1 oz 60m) Fuggles for bittering...

    Has anyone used this?

I have the same issue. What I have is probably something similar to that link, though I can't really tell. Mine is a stopper that has a hole, but the stopper is kind of hollowed out..you could say. So then I take a piece of an old airlock, the stick part cut off, and put that in the hole...

How do you save water on brew day???

maybe a little bit, but if it's an high efficiency I would think not. saving for the garden is a good idea as others have mentioned if you cant do the washer

How do you save water on brew day???

When I chill with my immersion chiller I use the tap water first, that gets it down halfway - the hot water from the chiller empties into my washing machine. Then when I cant get any more cooling power from the tap water, I put a pump on the immersion chiller and put the pump with the inlet...

It is crystal clear now. I could not have known where to put the regulator dial with residual pressure in the tank.

Pressure in keg dropped after serving

I think I am getting what you wrote... When i went down from 25, i turned the dial down, a little bit, then bled some pressure from keg and repeated that exercise until it locked in at 12.. Did I do it incorrectly? Perhaps I should have bled it all and then reset to 12?
