    NG Burner Question

    I have many burns from the hot skirt of the keggle hitting my leg, Sparge water leak and thought it was a good idea to grab the hose and put it back on not realizing that the whole top of my hand was burning and just the other day welding my new stand with out gloves on. It looks like I have...

    NG Burner Question

    Used my Hurricane burner yesterday and I am not even thinking about looking back to the multi jet burner. Even flame, no soot, quick and steady boil. This burner allows me to get even more drunk while brewing! Yeah!

    Tornado=Broken Hop tips

    HAHAHA Well after 4 days of chainsaw intimacy and some roofing experience I had time to deal with the real issues!

    Tornado=Broken Hop tips

    Sweet! Thanks I actually checked last night and it looks like they are already starting to shoot up another tip out of the top most node. Looks like little asparagus tips.

    Tornado=Broken Hop tips

    If a tornado rips through your yard and a branch falls on your hops and rips the tip off, will they continue to grow another tip out of a node? Or should I cut these and let a couple new ones grow up the wire?

    Pic request NG Hurricane burner

    https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f11/natural-gas-hurricane-pics-158318/ Found what I was looking for. My flames do not get that big unfortunately. Need to troubleshoot if this thing doesn't boil well.

    Pic request NG Hurricane burner

    Hey everyone, I recently bought a hurrican burner and the NG valve with correct orofice. I hooked it up and it burns clean unlike my 23 tip wok burner. Was wondering if someone with this set up could post a pic of their burner wide open. How tall should the flames be? They seem small...

    Raleigh Area Group Grain Buy-Round 4

    I unfortunately didn't get as much grain as I wanted to due to low $$ flow at that time. So I'm patiently waiting for next round. However I have made some pretty good rye beers since then. When is the next GRABASS session?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

    I'm gonna take a stab at a rye PA somethingorather. I have rye, I have 2 row, and 2 yeast starters going. US05 from 6 batches ago and a German ale yeast. Whatcha all think? Also a ton of hops left over. I'm thinking the name should have "Bastard " in it somewhere.

    Sanke Keg fermenter

    Ouch! sounds like a dangerous weekend. I read somewhere that someone cut the sanke dip tube short, put a sank coupler on top without the gas check valve and fermented, chilled, carbonated and served all out of the same keg. Sounds easy enough but I would be worried that I'd pull trub every...

    Sanke Keg fermenter

    I tried the orange cap thingy on my sanke and it didn't fit. But I have a tri-clover for it now and it fits perfect. Until I get that drilled out and tapped, I will use a rubber bung....for the bung hole. haha never gets old

    NG Burner Question

    I've given up trying to make the multi-jet burner work. I just ordered the Hurricane burner with the Natural gas conversion valve so hopefully I can hook this up and be done with it. I will use the jet burner in the fire pit outside in some way.

    NG Burner Question

    Same problem here. I ended up plugging a bunch of holes with some good results but still have the yellow flame issue. I also read somewhere that a low pressure regulator can help. I am looking into that now.

    Top bottom fridge temps?

    If you use a Ranco and have the fridge set to ~36, the freezer should be below 32. But if you want the fridge to be @60 and the freezer below 32 I think you you would need to re-direct all the cooling air to the freezer and have basically none to the bottom section. Basically a lot of work like...

    sam adams revolutionary rye

    I just tapped my Rye Stout last night. I am very happy with it but I can't detect the rye flavor at all. Actually I don't know what I should be looking for. I need to go grab a stronger rye beer and try it out so I know what flavor I am looking for. It is still a little green so maybe it will...
