    Krausen for 2 days only...

    I added to packages of yeast to carboy... the next day I had a nice krausen on top and a bubbling air lock... two days later krausen is gone and there is not much activity going on. Did adding two packs of yeast speed up fermentation time?? Planning on dry-hopping in my primary... just curious...

    Didn't stir My priming sugar

    I just poured my sugar on top and didn't stir it... any problems with that? I will usually add my sugar first to my bottling bucket then siphon in my brew. Will some beers be more carbonated then others... Is this a rookie mistake? Or does it really matter if you stir it?:confused:

    Lost hella beer siphoning..

    So I had my I.P.A sitting in primary for 2 weeks in a 6 gallon glass carboy and then I switched it to a 5 gallon carboy. I lost so much liquid siphoning it... there was so much hop sediment/yeast that I just left all that thick hoppy liquid behind in the original... now I have maybe 3.5 gallons...
