    I couldnt find any ale yeasts locally, so i think i will order some online for next time. We ended up using champagne yeast in both, one with brown sugar and one with white sugar so we will see how they turn out in a few months! :)

    Is it ok to bottle if I am still getting one air bubble every 20-30 seconds? our cider was started on 10/5 and we were thinking that it would be ready for christmas. If we bottle now will it blow the corks?

    Our first batch of cider will be ready very soon, what type of bottles can we use? we have been collecting 750ml wine bottles and purchased new corks, now i am hearing that using beer bottles are better. are wine bottles ok? any suggestions?

    Hard Cider

    No, I just found this website today. really all we did was filled a 6 gallon carboy, added 5 pounds of white sugar and one package of champagne yeast and let it sit. Im thinking we should have bottled it when we tasted it because it was so good, but just pretty dry.
