^^ Thanks! I actually went through grade school(k-8) in Green River, southwest corner. I ended up looking at all of the 67 plates from the places I have lived and Wyoming definately had the best looking plate.

So I think I have posted on the forum here all of one or two times. I mainly use it for information. I have looked through all 354 pages of this keggerator post though and I was inspired to say the least. I started my keezer about 2 weeks ago and finally have a finished product along with my...

Beers that do well with wood chip aging

Also interested in this. Would this be something that could be aged in say a secondary, like dry hopping and what would be the sanitation requirements and time requirement need to be?

    added priming sugar/foamed up

This is my second batch that I have bottled or am bottling, it is a brown ale. I just added the 3/4 cups of corn sugar directly on the beer in my bottling bucket after racking from my fermenter. For some reason it foamed up really quick, my last batch didn't do this. It almost seems like the...

Need some help with deciding on a refrigerator

I am looking at getting a free refrigerator in my area. There are a couple available to me and I cant decide which one to get. There is a side by side and a freezer on top to choose from. Dry hopping in mesh bag?????

Thanks for the replies, you got my brain working with the marble comment. I dont have any marbles though. So thinking outside the box since I am racking into a glass carboy, any glass would not hurt my beer providing that it is sanitized. What about using a skinny shot glass in the mesh bag. The...

    Dry hopping in mesh bag?????

I am wanting to dry hop my current beer that is in my primary. I am going to use my secondary to do this, and just rack on top of the hops. I am planning on using whole hops in a mesh bag but I would like to weigh the bag down some. What does everyone use for weight when they do this? I have...

    Extract recipe critique

I dont think it is a ridiculous amount. Most of your bittering hops are low % AA. The Simcoe is going to be mostly for flavor and aeromatics and not for bittering. Although it is going to be a hoppy beer, it says it in the name.

Hello everyone. My name is Craig, I recently gained intrest in brewing my own beer. I used to brew with my father when I was younger, I think I got through about 2 batches and then kind of lost intrest, got married, joined the US coast guard, and had a couple kids. Now since my life has settled...
