Fermentation mini-fridge list (brand and model)?

Hey all, I had this over in the "DIY Projects" section and I wasn't getting any feedback...so I moved it over here in hopes of getting some help. I’m not sure about the rest of you guys…but not many stores in my area have mini-fridges on display…they’re all boxed up. Problem is, if I can’t see...

Inline Duct Booster as exhaust fan?

Does anyone see an issue with using an inline duct booster fan as an exhaust fan? Like the one below. It is rated for the proper cfm I need (300), and I got it on sale for $ 35! My plan is it to use it as a fume extractor type exhaust system, where the fan itself will be placed at the end of...

    Identify this Perlick

I scored 6 of these Perlicks for free last night and I need help identifying them. I'm pretty sure they're 425SS, just because of the detachable spout...but the "Perlick" name is stamped on the top, not on the side like the other 425's I see online. Cheers.

    Can any Arduino programmers help?

Hi guys, I'm extremely new to Arduino, but I want to integrate a flow sensor/meter into my brewing system. It would also have an electric solenoid valve that would shut off the flow once a target volume is reached. I have the following components: - Arduino Uno R3 - 16x2 Sainsmart LCD...

Width of heat tape on sanke keg fermenter?

So I'm converting a Guinness sanke into a fermenter. I have everything under control except for the heating. I live in Alberta and my basement is cool all year long, especially in winter so I need to maintain temps via heating, more often than cooling. I'll be going the heat tape route. Now my...

Kal clone with Sestos components, diagram help.

I already posted this same question over at Kal's forum, but I don't seem to be getting too many responses, so I'll try my luck here. I switched the Auber timer and PID's with Sestos and so the wiring is a little different than Kal's build. I need some advice (reassurance, really) about the...

Height of heating element in e-keggle?

Hey guys, I'm about to start drilling holes in my kegs to install fittings. I have the heights for the ball valve and sight glass/thermometer (3-3/4" from bottom of keg)...but I don't know what height most people are using for the heating elements. Thanks for any help...or pointing me in...

    Kal's diagram?

I'm just curious to know if anyone has drawn a diagram of Kal's control panel. I know he goes into a lot of detail of his build on his website, and he even supplies "diagrams" of the main components, but I just want to know if a complete diagram is out there somewhere. Thanks.

DIY thermowell and SS wall thickness?

Hey guys, I'm preparing to build a temperature sensor to measure the temps in my MLT (very simple: NTC thermistor wired to a battery operated temperature meter I got from Hong Kong) and I have a question about the wall thickness of the 1/4" SS tubing I'll be using. The place I was planning on...

    More of a dispensing question....

Hey guys! I'm not sure if I ever introduced myself properly...and I know this isn't the place for it...but I'll be quick. My name is Jon. And I love beer. And I live in Edmonton, Alberta. Quite possibly the coldest place on Earth this morning (-35 C)!! My question is this: what do you guys...
