First Partial Mash Build...is this ok?

Followed all of your advice, cut the crystal and aromatic in half and moved the 27 minutes to 15. Hopin it turns out good. I need a good confidence booster to pursue partial mash haha

Thanks...although the numbers all fit the style in beersmith I just need a commonsense check to ensure it sounds right

    Guilty as Charged?

Ok I know I'm not the only one...who else does it? I find a kit beer that I absolute love, change maybe one or two small ingredients that I think will make it better, and then call it my own with its own name. Im sorry its just the best way to make sure all my beers I make are fantastic.

    Is This Heaven? No...It's Brewin

Just an amazing day I'm having. Currently mashing my Front Porch IPA, while a 9lb pork shoulder has been smokin away in the smoker since 1am for pulled pork, and watching college gameday. Is it fair to have life this good?

What do you do with old beers?

So I have some old beers that I brewed last fall I just never got to drinking. Basically an array of all the different beers I brewed last year that just got lost in the shuffle. What do you do with your old beers? Do you drink em? Give em to friends? Do they taste old and have lost...

    Hop Beat Down Main Event

Wanted to make an IPA using chinook for bittering and then amarillo, cascade, and simcoe for flavoring and aroma. Anyone used this combo? Would these blend well together or try to beat each other down in the bottle? I'm not tryin to play mediator between a bunch of angry hops

    This Heat is Causing Withdrawals

This damn heat is keeping me from brewing. The water temperature coming out of my faucet on all the way cold has to be close to 90 degrees. Takes me forever to cool my beer down enough to pitch my wort, even with an immersion chiller. I've been waiting until a break in the heat to brew again...

Any Thoughts On My Amber to Bring It From Good to Great

It just doesnt taste like there's very much complexity to it. I don't wanna say lack of flavor but just not alot to it. You think I should put more hops on the back end? I was thinking maybe substitute the carapils with some chocolate.

Any Thoughts On My Amber to Bring It From Good to Great

Wet T-Shirt + fan method in a dark spare bedroom. Fermented for 3 weeks at 67 degrees. Don't get me wrong I like the beer...it's just not knock your socks off good like I was hopin for. Everything in the malt and hop profile look good?
