Recommend a Burner for 1/2-Barrel System

Is that the same burner in the Kick-A-Banjo units?

Recommend a Burner for 1/2-Barrel System

Hey Everyone, So, my co-brewers and I are in the process of upgrading our 5-gallon all-grain system to a system capable of producing a 1/2 barrel (15.5g) of finished beer. We just found a 25g all stainless Italian kettle on the used market, but its obviously much too large for the kitchen...

Homebrew as Wedding Favors? Bottle Questions

Yeah, the more I think about it, the 187ml champagne bottles would be awesome, but it makes no logical sense to spend more money for half the contents. I'll have to dress up some 12-ouncers. I'll try a few ideas when I make a test batch, foil top some, wax dip some, etc., and see what the...

Homebrew as Wedding Favors? Bottle Questions

I think that'd be even more expensive. Etched glasses, even in bulk, are probably $1 each, plus I'd have to brew the beer and supply normal bottles. Even at retail, those 187ml champagne bottles are about $1 each and regular 12 oz. bottles are about $.50 each. If I'm looking to buy a lot of...

    Ikea Flip Top Bottles

I own several of those IKEA flip-top bottles. They're great, but I would not trust the glass to be sturdy enough to hold carbonation. I use them more for homemade extracts, liquor infusions, sour mix and other assorted cooking/mixology ****. That being said, though, I've never tried. You...

Homebrew as Wedding Favors? Bottle Questions

So, a friend of mine asked me if I'd be interested in making a homebrew to give away at his wedding (in October 2013, over a year away) as a wedding favor. It sounds like a cool project and something I'd love to do, but the wedding is going to be MASSIVE and very upscale. I'd need at least 600...

    Blickmann conical 14.5 Gal $450 + Shipping from 11201

I'm in Queens and VERY interested in this for local pickup. Is it still available? If so, I'll talk to my co-brewers and see what I could pull together.

    WTB: Universal Corker/Capper

Hey Grim, What's universal about it? I'm unfamiliar with this product. Can it handle British bottles, champagne bottles, etc.?

    WTB: Universal Corker/Capper

Anyone else out there have a universal corker/capper they're looking to move?

    WTB: Universal Corker/Capper

I appreciate the offer, but I'll probably pass on that. I brew in a tiny 1 bedroom New York apartment, so efficiency is key. It would make more sense for me to hold out for a universal capper than purchase separate ones for different types of bottles and need to store them all. Thanks for...

    WTB: Universal Corker/Capper

I recently got my hands on a huge stockpile of British beer bottles, which unfortunately don't seal properly with a standard winged capped. So, if I'm going to upgrade anyway, I'm hoping to go all out and find an all-in-one corker/capper that I could use for anything, American bottles, British...

    Pumpkin Ale Long Term Aging?

The beer should be fine. I brew a pumpkin ale every year in the early summer, age it on oak for months and bottle it in the early fall. Granted, mine is fairly high octane (about 10% ABV), but I have bottles left from the past two years and it's still drinking fantastically. The two year old...

    Sankes For Fermenters

What sort of work would need to go into the two rubber coated ones to use them as fermenters?

Two 28 gallon Italian kettles w/ false bottoms

I was over there today picking through his stuff and could attest to the fact that the kettle and false bottom for sale were in flawless condition, not a scratch on them, and certainly not bent. I went with the used set just because it was also in pretty perfect condition, but was a bit cheaper.

MLT, capper, burner, sanke and more

Is the capper just for crown caps, or is it one of those universal ones?

Two 28 gallon Italian kettles w/ false bottoms

I think we can setup a nice arrangement for everyone here. I'll take one kettle and false bottom, local pickup. Then Maltose and rsklhm10 can split the other kettle and false bottom and forceten succesfully sells everything. Win, win, win, win. Do you guys have any preference between the...
