    Thanks Kevin! Do you mind posting a pic of you pushing beer out of these? I'm planning to go with the CurTec and am trying to envision how you get a seal on a hole you create. A stopper? And how about the racking cane? Is it fixed or it moves up and down? Please share your setup sounds cool!

    Can you Brew It recipe for 8 Wired iStout

    I've brewed this recipe twice now and both times have been good, although the second time i tried to make 10 gallons of it and didn't hit near the OG; 1.085. I guess I'll be doing it again!

    Yes, lagers are more complicated than ales. Do your homework. Most importantly, you need a lot more yeast and to be able to cool the wort to about 50F and keep it there for a few weeks.

    I think 2 per sting is the norm, but you can bring multiple strings to a single plant.

    I think a key point to getting it to sleep and storing it well is to get the oxygen out. Boil the water for 15 mins or so to get the oxygen out (as well as sanitize it) let it cool, then mak.e sure the jars are all the way filled up. Decanting most wort would help. Pour slowly to avoid...

    Or you could buy it and sell it, ones that big around here are $500+ I have one about that size with only 6 kegs. Use the other half for bottles and extra milk, etc.

    Need Advice: Fluke K-Type Thermometer

    Hoping to revive a dead thread here. Are all type-k thermocouple probes compatible with all meters? Or specifically, can I buy a Fluke meter and use Thermoworks probes with it?

    Brewing Classic Styles Recipes

    Just found this and imported, thanks Monger! I've had the book for awhile and have only brewed a few of the recipes, but this will help my quest to brew more. Starting with the Scottish 70/ next week. Will keep you posted if I find errors.
