    Brewing with soften water

    I installed a port after the filter, but before the softener. Prior to this I was not getting the results I wanted from my brews after installing the softener.

    Will this Greenlee punch work?

    I have a Greenlee 13/16" round chassis punch that works great for mounting 1/2 items. The 7/8" will work it is just slightly larger.

    Hop Ball?

    I use them in my boil and have not encountered any issues. Brewing the same beer with the hops in a mesh bag I can tell no difference in taste.

    Tap Tower Upgrade?

    My standard was a 2.5 inch tower with single tap. I rotated it 45 degrees and added another tap no problem. It is about 1 inch below the orginal tap, but still plenty of room to fit my tall glasses under. Took about 15 mins. to make the new hole and mount the new faucet. In my opinion better...

    Sanitizing Sanke

    I clean mine from the top. I remove the faucet, hook up a hose with a bottle filled with water first then clean then water again. Before I keg in the comercial keg I do as 509 stated above and fill it will cleaner and co2 to push it thru the lines.

    help with chocolate beers

    I have done the AHS Holiday Chocolate Stout and their clone of the Left Hand Milk Stout. Both turned out very tasty, I prefer the Left Hand. I would add more chocolate to the Holiday Stout next time I brew it.

    Aluminum Miller Lite pint bottle reuse

    I used 3 of these in one of my batches over the summer. 2 turned out OK but one the lid did not seal good on. I find it easier to use the plastic bottles as the caps tend to seal better.

    AHS Pumpkin Ale mini-mash

    I did the mini mash and added 3 cans of pumpkin. The next one I do I will step up the pumpkin and the spices as they did not come through as much as I had hoped.

    Adding pumpkin!

    I brewed this last week and added 3 15oz cans of pumpkin after baking for 30 mins at 350. I steeped it for 45 minutes at 155 degrees. I tasted before I put it into the primary and my wife said it tasted like liquid pumpkin pie.
