    Wiring help with 2 pid 2 element

    The strange part about this is I had a 2352 and when I went to order my second I wasn't paying attention and ordered a 2362. of course i have been collecting parts for a while so when i realized my mistake quite a bit of time had passed.

    So after going back and forth multiple times have decided to go to a 2 element single pid system. Using the drawing the the one and only PJ of course came up with I am trying to verify which segments of wire need to be 10 gauge vs which can be 12 or 14 gauge?

    How low did you mount your element

    I am getting ready to take the step and punch a hole my 10 gallon polar ware and trying to see if there is a height that people have found best? I was thinking about 2 inches off the bottom?

    With little electrical background

    Can someone explain to me why Kal's design to mount the element in a kettle is superior to say Highgravity? I can't explain it but without totally understanding Kal's seems to be the better design. Just trying to learn some more. Thanks in advance

    What options if not comfy cutting the pot

    Like everyone else really looking to go electric. What options do I have if I don't want to cut the kettle myself? I don't have a punch so adding to the bill with the tools. Just trying to see what else I can do.

    How long before secondary?

    So i have been brewing beer for a few years but it seems I am reading that wine is more susceptible to off flavors if left on the yeast too long? Just wondering if that is the case since i haven't had the chance to rack it as soon as i thought. Background....just using a winexpert kit so...
