Rauchbier Cherry Beech Smokebeer (Many Awards)

I agree with passedpawn, it's hard to get a lot of the flavor of sugar's in the final beer. You might have better luck with a maple extract but I have no idea how much or what the taste would be like. You'd have to experiment with it starting small. Qeelin

    Wanted: Shiner bottles

Ok I35 it is but I think Thursday would be better. Sorry to keep changing but I forgot my wife's birthday is Friday, I don't think she'd appreciate me running around buying beer bottles and going to homebrew shops on her birthday. If that will work then I'll pm the place to you.

Is that a table? That's cool!

    Wanted: Shiner bottles

I think the earliest I could meet you would be next Friday (the 10th) after work. I was also thinking of going by Homebrew HQ. I've never been there and since I'm so close maybe we could meet there. What do you think?

That sounds good. What time could you meet? I get out of work at 3 but that might be a little early for you.

    Portable Kegerator

I would love to use that insulating foam but I don't think it would be able to bend very well. I wish my trash can was square so I could use that stuff.

    Portable Kegerator

Yeah, we have a smaller group and can't even finish of one keg in 3 days, much less two so I'm looking at as much insulating as possible. I could even insulate the inside with something similar to what you're using and then cover the outside as well but I didn't want it to be bulky or not able...

    Portable Kegerator

That's a cool setup. I have a very similar one with picnic taps and regular insulation. I've been wanting to find good insulating material that is water proof. I was using several trash bags to keep the ice water away from the insulation. Have you used it yet? I'm curious how well that camping...

    Wanted: Shiner bottles

That sounds fair. That's $30 total for one each of the 96, 97, 98, 99, & 100. I work in Corinth, do you think there's any way we could meet somewhere close, maybe in Lewisville some afternoon?

    Wanted: Shiner bottles

I wouldn't be able to pay much more than around $5 each plus shipping. I don't know what kind of equipment you might be needing but I'm willing to trade. Let me look at what extra stuff I might be willing to give up. Where do you live by the way? What other Shiner bottles and collectibles do you...

    Wanted: Shiner bottles

I'm only interested in one of each of those. I have 101 and 102 and all the other beers they put out since '09, I was just trying to finish out my collection of anniversary beers. Thanks!

    Wanted: Shiner bottles

I collect Shiner beer bottles and I need a few for my collection. If you have any 96, 97, 98, 99, or 100 anniversary bottles with caps I would be interested in buying them if the price is right. I've been a fan for years of the brewery and its history, not to mention the beer, but I've only been...

Looking for North Central Texas Brewers

Dude, you've been on here since Nov 2010 and you just now post your first post, lol. That's crazy man. Glad you finally took the plunge from stalker to contributor, WELCOME!

Surely there are more homebrewers on here from around this area. Come on folks, stand up and be counted!

    New to Brew!

I'd suggest starting simple and going with an extract kit. No sense in over complicating things in the beginning. You can brew some outstanding beers with those kits and a lot of the hard work is done for you. Get the process down and learn how different beers are constructed before jumping into...

    what is lambic?

You are right. It doesn't have to be infused with fruit but often it is. Technically it is a sour Belgian beer that is fermented with wild yeasts and bacteria. Read more about it here: Lambic - Home Brewing Wiki Qeelin

    Show us your Kegerator

Somewhere on here, maybe even in this thread, I saw a kegerator with two taps. One was a .50 cal round and the other was a grenade so I can't take credit for the idea.

    Show us your Kegerator

I have to say that using that shell is a very cool addition. Your tap handles are nice but a couple of 50 cal rounds or grenades would be a nice addition to the theme.

Looking for North Central Texas Brewers

That'd be great. Maybe I'll brink some samples by someday and we can compare. I'd love some honest feedback from someone who knows what good beer should taste like. Most of my friends would drink warm goat piss if it was handed to them so they're no help. I'll keep in touch.
