    Sour Beers

I have been hearing really good things about New Belgium Beer's La Folie but since I live no where near Colorado I can not get it to try. Does anyone know of any similar beers that are distributed in New England?

    Keg Emergency!

I recently bought a co2 system for sipensing draft beer. We hooked it up to a 15 gal keg of beer and the beer comes out all foam. I know we need to ballance the system but have no idea what to set the PSI to to fix this problem. We are using 5 feet of 1/4 inch tubling on the beer out side...

What kind of burner to get?

I really wanted to use the specific heat(how much energy in joules it takes to raise the temp of something by 1 degree kelvin) of water and figure out just how many BTU's you would really need. But then I realized that specific heat doesn't take into account time, or at least not that I know...

I just did my first ag brew about a month ago and i'm about to do my second. All I did to do that is make a mash tun(http://homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=23008) and...

    Spigoted Secondary Fermenter

For my next batch of beer im going to do my first secondary fermentation. I have decided that I would get a bucket for the secondary fermenter because it is easy to use and clean. How much luck have people had with having a spigot on their fermenter? My train of thought was that the yeast...

    "Classy" Beer Bottles

I recently found something called Free Beer(free as in speech, not as in beer). It is an open source beer. The recipe is copyrighted under the GPL and is posted on the website so anyone can make the beer. The people who made it made one batch in Denmark and one in San Fransisco. The bottles...

    caramel hard cider

I've never made a cider before so im just throwing around an idea here, but the other day I had a caramel apple cider from starbucks and it was very good. So I was thinking that might be a cool thing to make cider with, I read that "traditional New England cider" is fermented with brown sugar...
