    Ok I finaly did it.

    I just broke down and bought a chest freezer and temp controller mostly going to do ales I know I want to hit a wort temp of about 69 degrees but what temp should the temp controller be set to? I am guessing about 60.

    I like ipa's so I am trying to learn about hops. There are three main descriptions one I can figure out. Citrus is going to be citrus tasting.     Cleaning kegs and lines

    Just finished my keezer. I have seen kits for cleaning lines but what I was planning on doing was using one step in the keg 3 gallons of water and three table spoons. Setting it upright for 5 mins flipping it for 5 more. Hooking it up to the lines and filling them letting it sit for 5 more mins...

    What does green beer taste like? What would a yeast flavor taste like? What does a beer that was bottled before it was done fermenting taste like? What does infected beer taste like?     Can I put my beer in a corny keg add dextrose and natural carb in the kev then just use co2 for surving?

    Just checked SYMG IPA.

    Ok brewed yesterday about 5pm to 8pm eastern. Used a basic dry light malt extract 5 lbs. 2 lbs of cracked carmel 60. 1 oz semicole whole hops 1 oz cascade and one oz of magnum. Add at 60 15 5. Started with 3 gallons boiled to about 2.5 then 3 boiled to about 2.5 for the wort. Up until this batch...

    Just finished my fourth batch

    Finished my fourth batch it was a basic pale ale. It stinks but tast good what could cause this? I used the same steps as the first three but on this one I add the extract at the end say with like 20 mins left in the boil instead of the beginning. I read of other people doing this on this forum...

    Toughest yeast?

    What is the most forgiving ale yeast? You know something that will be able to handle a noobie mistake if one where to come up. Or won't have a problem in a 70° apartment (no basement)?

    First Batch Problem

    Ok so just bottled my first batch. I put the priming sugars into the bottleing bucket then put my ferminted beer into the bucket so the sugars would mix well with the beer. Then bottled let sit for a few weeks at room temp in the bottles. I just went through a six pack the first 3 where awsome...
