Any suggestions for using straight nitrogen?

I'm adding a nitrogen bottle instead of beer gas so I can serve Nitro coffee. Soon I will be brewing a stout and have the ability to pressure ferment. I'm thinking I should pressure ferment somewhere in the 3-5 lbs range to get a little co2 prior to hooking up the nitrogen. Good or bad...

I'm 2 brews deep on an Anvil all in one. My mash efficiency has been 57% both times. Grain milled by AHS. I like that it's consistent but are there any tricks for consistent higher numbers? What's your process? Thanks!

Seems that you are able to fix any problem that will come along so...sell the one you can get the most cash out of.

I agree and it could also be your fridge tripping the gfci if that is what you have plugged into the cold side.

That sucks...its happened to me as well. Now I have foam stoppers for my starters.

I agree and dont forget to chill. Everything will work out and the yeast will love it.

I have never drilled a hockey puck but I would guess that freezing them would make them more brittle and more likely to chip/break out. I like the idea for a tap!
