    Deschutes Twilight Ale recipe??

So I just posted 3 pics of my version vs the original. Mine is on the left and I'm happy to say the clearer of the 2. And honestly I like mine better. This time I used 1oz each Mosaic and Amarillo to dry hop so mine is happier but in a citrusy way. Amazing, I'm so so happy I switched to all-grain.

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

Stever1000, grab some IPA's at the store and find one you like. Do some research on hops too- you can sub the variety of hops or when you add them to the boil. Even if you choose the 60 min IPA, maybe make it your own by using Mosaic hops instead of another. Learning and understanding the small...

American Pale Ale Sacred Summit Pale Ale (AG) [[ Gold Medal and Best In Show ]]

So changing the recipe is half the fun of brewing, right? I used the grain bill of this recipe and used all wild foraged and a little homegrown hops, along with a "wild" Brett yeast. Smells great burping in the basement.
  4. Hops Towers

    Hops Towers

The wife and I created the towers and they were installed with the help of a few friends. We made 2 this year, in the garden, and like the look so much that I've gotten the OK to make 4 more for the rest of the hops, along another fence.

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Left Hand Pepper Porter Clone

Sounds amazing. I'm enjoying a black chili beer from Rockyard Brewing and want to do something similar. As your post is a bit older, any notes or ever a re-do that you can offer up any advice?

Experimental Beer Slim's Graham Cracker Ale 2.0

Ok, great brew day yesterday. OG of 1.065. Upped the chocolate malt to 8oz, added ~3oz Cocoa nibs and about 1/3 of a cinnamon stick at flameout. I'll prob add more cocoa in fermenter but I was thinking less likely tannins if I didn't boil the nibs. Also this morning, sliced open 3 vanilla beans...

    Milk Stout.

Here are a couple pics moving into secondary. Smelled great, taste test from the very bottom was still very good. Added 1/2 packet cocoa nibs, will wait another 2 weeks or so and see what comes of it. Fyi, this is my ghetto way of filtering from primary to secondary, with a couple grains bags...

    Milk Stout.

Brew day yesterday, 3/21. Nailed the OG at 1.059. Smells fantastic. Somehow I didn't buy enough EKG so I just subbed with a bit less homegrown chinook. Already bubbling this morning, 12 hours later.

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

So my quick 2 cents on this recipe. I used a farmhouse strain from the LHBS that they ce commended and it came way down to 1.001. I also added kafir lime leaves and chamomile. I went a bit overboard on the lime leaves and needed to wait about 2 or 3 months after bottling for the Lemon Pledge...

Winter Seasonal Beer Buffalo Sweat Clone; Pumpkin and Vanilla Bean versions as well

I brewed this a couple weeks back as the AG pumpkin version. I upped the chocolate malt, added cocoa nibs, and added 1 can of pumpkin to the boil and 1 can in secondary, along with pumpkin pie spice. Although I just bottle 6 days ago, I couldn't wait and tried my first last night. Mind blowing...

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

I just cleaned up after brewing this BIAB style. I added kafir lime leaves, chamomile, the coriander, a bit of orange peel, and about 1/2 of the sugar as the Belgian candy sugar and the other half just plain white sugar. In reading through this again, I realized I did a 60 minute boil, not 90...

American Amber Ale Caramel Amber Ale

Brewed again, followed original grain bill with .25lb Cararoma and .5 lb biscuit malt. OG reading is coming in low at 1.036. Also used 1056 American yeast from wyeast. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Dark Mild Mild - Best of Show New England Regional Homebrew Competition 2011

I brewed this yesterday afternoon and at 8am this morning, it was very active and at 72 degrees. I put it in the the garage to come down to around 68, next to my other burping babies. Came in at 1.037 OG so we'll see how it ends up. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

American Amber Ale Caramel Amber Ale

I really liked this beer, as did all my friends who helped me drink it. I definitely want to brew it again with maybe a minor tweak to make it different. It's solid, nothing too crazy, but I like that about it too. I was thinking maybe some biscuit malt to see how close it can be to fat tire...

Firestone Walker Pale 31 / Pale Ale Clone

I wanted to further echo my previous praise of this recipe by letting you know it's a legitimate winner. We brewed it in May, called it the Game Over Pale Ale, kegged and served at out wedding, to much praise. But we also entered it into a local homebrew comp and it took 1st in its category, 4th...

    What are you drinking now?

Deschutes Twilight is my favorite summer seasonal, actually one of my top 10 beers really. Perfect session ale before we knew what that was. Love the light hops. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
