    Let it begin!

Bah thick skin more than anything else. But hell you gotta start somewhere... If I stressed too much on what other people say I wouldn't have brought it on here. But least I can expect the HBT crowd to be ridiculously honest... N also help with my **** grammar!

    Let it begin!

I'm pretty sure it comes from web log but no idea why it isn't a wlog! Ya this wont be to make money or anything. I'm sure an actual writer with good editing skills could do it, but not me. I finally found that 'than'... Damn thing crept in! I really think for me this will be a solid tool...

    Let it begin!

Bah beer snob has been my thing... But I'm trying to get past it... Haha I've been a bit of a jackass (unintentionally) with my snootiness. So I'm going to be trying to work on it and my communication skills with this. Basically gotta be a bit less of a jackass and a bit more supportive. I'm...

    Fermentation chamber r-value

So I've lacked a fermentation area for about a year now... But SWMBO just agreed to a fermentation chamber build! The down side is that it's going to be out in my shed. So this is the plan, build a chamber big out of 3/4 inch ply layer in two inches of extruded poly and seal with foam gasket...

    Beer line question

So I got the go ahead to build myself a keezer and I have a few questions. I'm not much of a drinker more of a social habit for me really. How long can I keep these kegs tapped for? They may. Go two- three weeks between uses, so I'm a lil worried about the lines getting funky. Not worried about...

    Keg upgrading-fermenting and serving

I guess I may go that route... I was thinking kegs also for ease of transport and to do no chill- and come on... it's kinda cool!

    Keg upgrading-fermenting and serving

So I haven't brewed in about 6 months! Before I get strung up to the nearest yardarm let me explain. My Fermentation space is now my office, as my office is now my first borns room. So this put all those lovely glass fermenters on hold. SWMBO also declared no more glass fermenters as I lost...

Modifying a stock pot for kettle cooling (with illustrations)

Power to you dude you seem to be more of a tech guy so let your freak flag fly! I would say this entire process is a little extreme but whatever floats your boat... But if you decide that your beer is better then mine I'll fly over there and park my boot in ya (haha!)... I would recommend trying...

    Storage

How long do you need it to keep for? The average low grav should be about 1 year and the high alch stuff should last and get better over 3-4 years with proper storage... What more were you looking for? With that said some beers do better with he and some don't... Your preference mainly

How bad will my house smell?

I do all my brewing and fermenting well and away from swmbo... It's just not worth the 'possible' fight... Just like with many of my hobbies or purchases I find what she doesn't know won't hurt me!

The relationship between beer and smoked meat

+1 We enjoy making a product that works to our individual tastes... I would expect many of us to have the same general hobbies! Between cooking, brewing and other awesome skills it would seem that our SWMBO tend to be a step up on us look wise as well... ... ...Homebrewers do it better.
