    I've found the plastic screw-tops off large (2-litre) water bottles that we get through a lot of are perfect for screw-top wine bottles. The o/d of the bottle is slightly larger then the i/d of the top so it really grips and the seal in the top seems to fit snugly. I don't know if it would last...
