Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

By far the worst beer I had in a long while was The Big O by O'so Brewing Company!!! Sorry, but I was really excited to taste beer that is brewed differently, as they state as their mission. Different it was: as bland as the water from my faucet! On the label it says something about :"lasting...

Wyeast 3724 Belgian Saison - they were right!

The first saison I did with 3724 rocked the house and was done in a couple weeks. Now my second saison stopped after 36 hours despite my cozy setup. But, hey, no rush, the yeasties know what to do. Little patience is all. [/IMG] Salut :mug:

beer gets sweeter and sweeter in bottles

hello friends. I brewed a Hefeweizen all grain. OG was 1.076 and FG was 1.012. I bottled with 1.25 cups of corn sugar. After 1 week I tried and it was nice and crisp with not that many bubbles of course. Now 2.5 weeks after bottling the beer has more bubbles but got really sweet. Almost...

Hey fellow brewers! I am pretty new to brewing (8 batches) and ask myself everyday: What have I been doing before brewing? Did I really have a life? I feel newborn now! Being from Germany, I never would have thought that the US is THE beer country of the world right now. All these fantastic...

    dunkelweizen

Just to follow up: after 10 days in the bottle I popped a bottle in the fridge to give it a try and see where it's at: hurray! It is already very very tasty! Banana was the predominant aroma. It will be perfect with a slice of lemon. I'll give it another 10 days or so to fully eat up the priming...

    dunkelweizen

Hey! My favorite beer: dunkles Hefeweizen (dark wheat). Here is a recipe which I got in this forum (by Arkador). I am close to bottling. Just some warnings: USE the BLOWOFF hose. I didn't and I can tell you, it was a big explosion and quite a mess. The yeast goes nuts, hehe. Also you should...
