    Add sugar to my lager kit?

    Hi, I am new to homebrewing and I am about to start the hombrewing. On my lager kit can, it tells me to add 1kg of sugar but I am following a book which is "Hombrewing for dummies" and it says not to add sugar. Which should I follow? What would be the dfference between adding sugar or not? Thanks

    Pressue Barrel - instead of bottles?

    Hi, I am new to home brewing and I have been brought this pressure barrel. I am fermenting some lager and wondered if when the fermentation has stopped I can transfer the brew into this barrel instead of using bottles and the barrel would act as one big bottle? The barrel dosen't have a CO2...
