    Chilling wort without wort chiller.

Any good tips or tricks out there for chilling wort faster without the aid of a wort chiller? It's on my "to purchase list" but I'm about 10 minutes from finishing up a boil. I'm planning on an ice water bath but I'd appreciate any help. Thanks a bunch! :mug:

Oh Goody, I can throw up a poll... (Literally)

Champaign/Urbana. So I can root for the Cubs or Cards. :D But I'd rather cheer for the Broncos and not pay so much attention to baseball. Way too many games IMHO.

Screw the Cubs fans. I feel like I was raised to feel sorry for the poor Cubbies but I'm not sure why.

    What are you drinking now?

My Fat Tire clone that has been in the bottle for just shy of two weeks and is not quite ready yet so right now I'm enjoying a few Red Hook IPA's. Love that hoppiness.

    Do you have a beard?

Great answer. I'm going to go with that as well.

Post the stupid things you did when drunk

OK here's my not-so-brief contribution that's still somewhat fresh in my memory. It was about a month ago. It kind of proves that adult beverages, a female coworker and a bicycle are always (or never) a good combination. The evening started off innocently enough with a little after work happy...

Congrats to all you Cardinal fans. :mug: My parents are huge Cards fans and I'm sure they are stoked. I'll get their take on it tomorrow.

    Slippery slope of equipment necessity

That's quite a set-up. :mug: Yep any good hobby is just a more rewarding way of parting with your hard earned cash. I never get too excited about buying a month's worth of cell phone service but a new carboy cleaning brush - look out! :ban:

    Allow myself to introduce myself.

Beer at Home (http://www.beerathome.com/) pretty far south of downtown on Broadway. A woman that I worked with at The Denver Post new Andy and Holly Causey that owned the place. She hooked me up with them. Good people.

I'll trust that advice. By your avatar alone I can tell that you are an intelligent man. Go Broncos! My humble start to brewing came in Denver for several years. I currently live in IL but visit CO each summer.

So in my rush to remove the message at the top of the page that says "you have not posted yet..." I didn't scroll all the way down to find the Introductions forum. My apologies. I know - damn newbies! If a mod/admin wants to move this into that forum, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! I'll only get...

    Allow myself to introduce myself.

I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hello. After about a six year hiatus from home brewing, this past weekend I dusted off (and sanitized) my equipment and cooked up a batch of my favorite amber ale. Now it is happily fermenting away. It felt great to get back to one of my favorite...
