    Hello Rex personaly i would start with your frementing temp. I just brought two party tubs i plan to use for fermenting with some water and bottled water thats frozen. i got them at walmart for 4 bucks each.

    Hello, My siphon takes a while also. The higher you can get the secondary up the better it goes. I also just toss the remainder of the brew under the spigot too the beer gods. The sour taste is probably because the beer is still young. Let it bottle condition for at least 3-4 weeks.

    Ahh Patience natural. If your directions say to secondary for 1-2 weeks let it sit 3-4 weeks. Youll be glad you did.

    first beer ideas?

    My first three batches were a Irish Red, Wit and Honey Brown all from northern brewer. The Brown was the best. All were Extract.

    The Brown came out great, the wit and red I undercarbed, the wit the worst with almost no carb. Red is good but slightly on the strong side. Is ok though. :)

    Milwaukee area beer related events over the Fourth of July - help

    +1 on Cliffords. Go early like 4:00 no later, gets really packed then clears out around 8:00 or so.
