    Made my first batch Saturday, 8 May with Nottingham Ale Yeast. It was bubbling away Sunday morning and still going strong today, 12 May. There is about a Inch Krausen on top with a steady plop, plop from the blowoff tube.

    I just brewer my second batch Saturday, it was blowing bubbles like crazy Sunday morning. Yesterday afternoon I checked it out and the fermenter (plastic Bucket) is bulging and I had a lot of gunk in the blow off tube and the water it goes to is now very cloudy.     That look seriously easy. I'm at 30 day in primary on my first extract and I have two more kits to do. But you made AG look very simple to do without all the equipment. I think I'm going to try this after I finish my two kits. thanks DeathBrewer, you the man.:rockin:

    Kit Age

    I got a October Fest Kit with some equipment I brought off craigs list. The kits from 2008. Can I still use it? It has a Bag of grains, two bottles of LME and vaccumed packed hops.

    Hey tadandmel, Fayetteville here. Craig's list is where I got all my initial equipment from. Guy was military and did not have the time to brew anymore. I scored a foot locker full of stuff, plus primary, bottling bucket, and four better bottles.

    Help

    Ok I took a reading on 26 March and it was at 1.026, Today it was at 1.012. nothing on top of beer. No form or anything, should I transfer to a secondary, or should I wait about two more weeks.

    Help

    Ok I open the fermenter and saw crud about 1 1/2 in up the side and a small layer of form on top of wort. I took a SG reading at its at 1.26. So I think I'm ok, but I still have seen no activity coming from the fermenter.
