    Help! Fermentation Issues w/ Irish Red!

    Thanks for the replies, guys. The OG of the recipe was close to 1.059, which is what the recipe specifies. The recipe was written for extract, so I assume the OG and FG specs should be accurate for using extract. I didn't realize, though, that there was that much of a gravity difference...

    I just had literally the same experience with an extract batch of Irish Red we just brewed. The beer had been in primary for 3 days and stopped bubbling after about 2 days of vigorous fermentation at 65 degrees F. I thought maybe it was finished since it seemed to be raging away initially, but...
