    Which plate chiller is best?

    I'm building a new all grain system, and have decided I want a plate chiller. The Blichman therminater looks awesome, but it's 200 bucks :(. Has anyone had experience with the cheaper ones? It's hard to justify that much money if the cheaper ones do the same thing.

    Chill Haze

    My beers are brilliantly clear at cellar temps, but cloudy if I put it them the fridge. What causes this? I know it doesn't effect the flavor, but I'm a perfectionist, and it's going to piss me off until I fix it.:D

    Beersmith IBU accuracy

    I was plugging some of Jamil's recipies into beersmith, and the IBU's don't match up. The settings are 6 gallons batch, 70% efficiency, and Rager for IBU. His Myburger recipe says 36 IBU, but I come up with 27. Tried it with two others, and both were off. Am I doing something wrong?

    Anyone else having trouble with Nottingham?

    Made an AG batch of Edwort's Pale ale. I rehydrated the notty per instructions on the package, but have 0 activety 30 hrs later. I've made this beer 2 other times, but with Safale-05.     Mead Yeast

    Crash Cooling?

    I want to improve the clarity of my ales. I've heard that crash cooling works well, but I am worried that the cold temps will damage my ale yeast. I bottle my beer. So, if I crash cool will the yeast still be able to carbonate the beer?
