    Anyone used Beets for sugars and colors

    I brewed a beer where I used beets in the mash last year. The wort tasted of nothing but beets, but you could hardly taste them at all in the finished beer. Efficiency was lower than usual.     All Late/First Wort Hopped Rye IIPA

    FWH does not give the same bitterness as a 20 minute addition. You boil the hops for 60-75-90-whatever minutes and soak them for some time before that as well. So you actually get a bit more bitterness that you'd get from a 60-75-90 minute addition.

    Dry Hop Am.IIPA w/Brit.Hops?

    I've mixed Amarillo with Fuggles and Cascade with East Kent Goldings with great results. Go for it! :)
