I am a lucky dog, I work less than 5 miles from this fine LHBS, which is within walking distance of one of the best area beer bars (excuse me, I meant gastro-pub). Well worth putting on your calendar for pick-up day. Great food too.

Nice work. Although I'm sure we'll miss the Rt 130 drug buy ambiance, BYOB is pretty nice too! I always find a few more things there that I didn't know I needed.
Thanks guys.
I just tapped an all-Bravo IPA. I used flavor, aroma & dry-hop additions.
I like it. It's a little strange, because the flavor isn't noble or piney, but more minty & doesn't linger. I'll see how it grows on me. Not sure I'd dry hop with it again.
It makes you wonder if all braids are created equal. I've never had a totally stuck mash, but I've had some that required a serious, time-consuming intervention to get things moving again. Especially with rye or wheat.
Even though I stir to the sides and don't touch the braid when I'm...
I got some great advice on one of these boards for braid reinforcement. I crush finely, often use rye or wheat, and I'd had my share of sticky sparges. Then I bought one of these:

and installed it in the braid. No more crushed...
One of these will hold a 6G fermentation bucket:

There isn't clearance for a regular airlock, so stick this in the hole and run a pair of blow off hoses...
That's my set-up, it works well. I just make a draw-tight loop near the top of the tube, so the the bag is in the beer until it's down to the last gallon or so. It's always stayed in place.
Had a mug of it last week, decided I'd use some Bravo in something. It's not quite like the C hops, but I like it.
I make a point of trying all their one-off beers, have never been disappointed.
I am in for:
1X CM‐SPIL
1X CM‐2ROW
I will split up to:
1/2X CM‐MUNH (or other Munich malt)
1/2X CM‐RYEM (or other rye malt)
Thanks!
Just found this in my local Southern NJ store.
They're all great - I'm not a Weizenbock fan but I appreciate this one. The Black Juniper is like some versions of a black IPA, with maybe some extra black roast. The Common is very good, and the DIPA is a unique rendition of the style. Well...
