    Pesticides??

Ok, so, I can get 2 corny kegs, and one other corny style that I think may be 10 gallons, for prob about 20 bucks for the 3. The issue is that they were used to spray pesticides with. Can they be cleaned for brewing use? Im thinking that if I cleaned the crap out of them and installed new popits...

    Propane orifices help

Yeah, sorry, but that wont work. The orifice has to input directly into the burner throat.:mug:

    LP Question

The thing to remember about propane, is that you have a little less than 100k btu's per 1 gallon. So, if your burner is 210k then in will burn roughly 2.5 gallons an hour. Also, a 20 lb tank holds 5 gallons. One other note, if you have gotten your tank from a bottle exchange, like at lowes, or...

    2 propane burner questions

10 psi adjustable regulators will be fine. That's what I have on my banjo burners. My burners are also about 4" away from the keggle bottoms.

    My New Brewstand

I'm glad you all like my design! I thought it would be pretty sweet when it was still all in my head lol. It's all 1 1/2" square tubing btw, not sure if I mentioned that or not. Also, I had to add a heat shield on the side with the table because my mash tun was getting a little too hot. And now...

    My New Brewstand

I think the steel was about $80 bones. That coupled with dad being a freggin golden arm welder, I got my stand built and learned to weld in the process! I think total cost for my build us somewhere around $250 time I bought banjo burners and made hoses and such.

    My New Brewstand

Ok guys, she is finally done :). Bought a bunch of square tubing and went to dads, and we put er together. I made it L shaped so that I could hinge the mash table for storage purposes. I also put some wheels on er for moving back and forth to the shop. It has 2 banjo burners and brews like a...

    Why a coffin?

It al boils down to personal preference really. I prefer the look of a coffin over a collar thats just me. Also I have mini me's running around so a collar wouldn't be practical, because little hands are curious! Pulling it out to open it is kind of a pain, but it's worth it for me :).

Best burner? Hurricane VS Jet VS Banjo?

You are on the right track, but 700 psi? No way! Anywhere from 100-200 psi with a maximum of 250 psi. All propane service pressure relief valves are set at 250 psi. Propane pressure fluctuates with temperature, cold temp is lower pressure in the tank vs. when it is hot.

    Yet another propane plumbing question

That regulator will work fine, but you need to make sure that you keep the orifice for the burners. There should be a small brass fitting at the end of the old hoses, that's the orifice. Something else to think about putting on would be a shutoff valve on each burner, so you can use one at a...
