New England IPA Blasphemy - No Boil NEIPA

So how do you dissolve the DME? Do you heat up the water enough to dissolve DME but not all the way to a boil?

American Wheat Beer Hoppy Session Wheat Beer

Thanks. I keep toying with trying a no boil method and thought about sacrificing the Centennial all together. Instead I split the difference. We'll see how the 1/2 oz turns out. I'm guessing it will be damn tasty either way!

American Wheat Beer Hoppy Session Wheat Beer

Can't wait to taste it. Have you done a batch with a reduced or moved Centennial addition? If so, any thoughts?

American Wheat Beer Hoppy Session Wheat Beer

Just brewed this on Saturday. I left out the Cara 20 as Braufessor said he's done lately. 30 min boil, got 1.040 OG, decided to cut down to 1/2 oz Centennial at 30min, and pitched a starter from harvested 1318. I put in the dry hop charge at 30 hours since it was really active for 24 hours and...

Is the 1/4 hp really good enough or would bigger be better?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I believe he said 8lbs/bbl was the most they had done and that was for a Triple NEIPA. Thought he said usually they do 4-5lbs/bbl.

    Native Python BrewPi controller

Making progress. For lack of a better word, I've done it kind of ghetto. Soldered some wires together so I wouldn't have to crimp my own connectors on or anything, or use terminals to junction. I'd like to think I'll go back and clean it up, to do things a little more professional, but who am...

    Native Python BrewPi controller

Got the Pi Zero W set up, fuscus and brewpi software installed without much issue - instructions were very helpful...gotta get the hardware all connected so I can configure and get everything up and running!

    Native Python BrewPi controller

Got a $5 Pi Zero W just for this, and just ordered a good portion of the rest of the components. Looking forward to putting this together. I'll report back and will likely have questions too...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Here was my first brew of this recipe (or at least similar recipe). Came out great! Better than some commercial examples of the style that I've had, and it was a hit at our block party, lots of positive comments and killed the keg before the night was over. Thanks Braufessor for the recipe...
