    High alcohol content beer problem

One more question. Is it better to age the beer in the carboy, in a keg, or in a bottle?

    High alcohol content beer problem

Thanks everyone for the great info. I think that my problem is that its way to young. My first high gravity beer was a Belgian tripel, the one i finished now was a blonde ale. I actually have 2 beers from the tripel that i brewed that should be about 1 year old now, so who suggests that i try...

    High alcohol content beer problem

I've brewed two beer kit recipes that were over 7% alcohol, and both of have tasted so strong and bad that they are basically undrinkable. I was wondering if there was something I'm not doing that would make it more bearable to drink?

    Airlock evaporated

So i've been aging this batch of Red Ale for about 2 and half months now, things are going well, except that i recently discovered that the airlock had evaporated enough to break the lock... I think it has been evaporated for about 2-3 weeks now, but i recently filled it back up. I was...

A fermentation question for the pros

I just started a batch of Irish red ale, I'm keeping it at 69 degrees, and the day after I cooked it up my airlock was bubbling every 2 seconds, 1 day later it stopped. What does this mean?

First 5 Gallon brew, got a few questions

it says about 2 weeks in primary, about 2 weeks in secondary, but over all says to follow what the hydrometer is telling me, then it says to bottle and store warm for 3 weeks. Another question I have, the instructions say to make sure the SG is the same for 2 days before moving it to the...

First 5 Gallon brew, got a few questions

I am in a bucket, should I not bother with the buckets and opt to get a second glass carboy? Well if that is the case then that is pretty relieving. So i'm just gonna follow my schedule and in 8 days take a hydrometer reading, then another the day after, then im gonna rack it into my secondary...

First 5 Gallon brew, got a few questions

I can see a thin layer of foam on in through the bucket, about an inch thick and it is bubbling, just incredibly slow. The instructions do say to keep it in there for about 2 weeks, then to see if the SG stays the same for at least 2 days before moving it into the secondary fermenter for...
