    DIY Stir Plate Question

I used one at first, it threw the stir bar more than I'd like to say. I balanced two magnets on a fan and they have worked great for me!

WTB Sparge Arm for a 10 gallon Igloo

TBH, a flying sparge arm is mostly for show. Its not truly needed as long as you have a light sprinkle on the sparge, as not to disturb the grain bed!

    WTB - 50' Immersion Chiller

I built mine with a torch, home depot for $20, it came with flux, solder and a wire brush(its a good thing to have for fitting copper tubing). I also picked up a 50 ft coil for $32.00 at lowes. If you want some help with it, I might be able to walk you though it.

    Opinions on digital temperature controllers?

Thank you for the quick responses, I was wondering why the Coolbot was so much more in price. If the only difference is the constant power to the AC unit, that is a huge cost?? I have seen some DIY videos on getting inside of an AC unit and hard wiring it, but I need more research?! Does...

    Opinions on digital temperature controllers?

I am planning on building two walk-in refrigerators. One will be at 68 degrees F, and the other will be at 36 degrees F. I am on a budget, so as long as it works well and is inexpensive, that would be great! This newer product called, Coolbot($300) seems like it works the same as a Johnson...

Welding 101 = Fun Brutus Build

I had a question on the gas flexible hose. If the hookup on the hose is going directly out of the burner, is there any pressure built-up? If no pressure is built-up, then the .5 psi gas hose might work?

    Moving to all grain

I agree with Wade E, you should look into a grain mill! What kind of burners are you using? If your cooler is big enough, are you making a ten gallon or a five gallon batch? I noticed a much better flavor on my finished product with the all grain, that's just my opinion!!

Drilling a hole in my 40 QT aluminum brew pot

I used the green dish soap for my three kegs, stainless, finished in thirty minutes! Important to use a cobalt bit for SS. Say Dave your pickup tube inside seems backwards, why is your setup that way?

    Keg Appropriation and Future Plans

I made the easiest and useful "jig" for cutting the top off of a keg. I used a 1 1/2" wide PVC pipe that was at least 6" long(I purchased 2 feet from Lowes). I measured up about 2 3/4" from the bottom. and drilled a hole about 5/16" thick straight through(both sides). I found a bolt that fit...

Beer Engine or Jockey Box-like Beer Engine?

I really like the concept!! What if, just to say, you used a jockey box-style or cold plate to chill the lines of beer before dispensed into a glass?? I have seen them at restaurants and they work very well. Maybe put this plate on the outside back and still have the keg inside the box, IDK!?

Welding 101 = Fun Brutus Build

Looks great! I had a question on your easyflex lp ss hose. Where did you get them and how much were they? Very nice pics, btw!

    sixth barrel kegs

How much would it cost me if I needed 10? Or by the each?
  17. BierMachen

    1/2 barrel kegs

Are you only selling all three at the same time?
