I just finished up my tap box.

    Must Have Hop to grow

I would say it depends on your taste in beer.. I love west coast pale ales, so I went with Cascade since I was only growing one plant.

First Year Cascade - Couple questions/problems

The bottom of the plant only, seems to be dying, growth is still happening up top though, should I worry? Is it something I can fix? Maybe related? There isn't a lot of this, but in a couple of places.. Any ideas? The only bugs I can see on it, are ants, spiders, and this guy which I...

    Fridge In Cabinet

Actually we are in the middle of a move, so it would be a perfect time to make it right once we get to the new place. So if you could snap a few pictures that would be great. Even if I have to reproduce it myself it would be helpful. Thanks.

Red Hot Iron Inserted in Beer? Gustungling?

My dad has talked about this hot poker in the beer thing before.. he told stories about it from when we were in Germany (He was stationed there was I was about 2 circa 1983)

Keg Cowboy "1 to 3 faucet beer tower conversion kit"?

I think you would just need some kind of spacer to take up the extra space. Along with longer screws. I don't think it would look pretty, but you could for sure make it functional.

    Dilemma - Stops/Airlocks/Pipeline..

Kids are napping and if I wait until they get up I'll be up to late brewing. (or I could do it tomorrow..)

    Dilemma - Stops/Airlocks/Pipeline..

So I can just put aluminum foil over top of my Scottish since it's in secondary and it will be fine like that for the rest of the process? And I know they are cheap.. I just managed to lose one so I'll be buying several because of that :)

    Dilemma - Stops/Airlocks/Pipeline..

I have 2 carboys and 1 bucket for fermenters.. 1 carboy currently has Scottish Wee Heavy secondary (2-3 more months) My bucket has an amber that I just brewed 2 days ago. My other carboy is empty so I wanted to brew today, unfortuantly I can't find another stopper. LHBS is over an hour away...

How much sugar is too much?

If anything too much sugar would over carbonate the beer. Bottle carbing can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks, just wait it out.

    Dual Body regulator or Manifold?

24-36 hours @ 30psi usually works for me.

    Dual Body regulator or Manifold?

If you carb using set it and forget it method a manifold is fine. I'm impatient more often that I should be so I tend to force carb with 30 psi while serving around 11.. So dual regulator was what I went with..

Lazy-ass way to clean kegerator lines....

I don't think it's stupid because thats how I do it too.. Flush with some hot water from a pressurized keg, and then again with starsan.

Free keggerator.... but can I lay it on it's side to transport it?

I'm no expert but I was always under the impression that as long as you let it sit for 24 hours after being on it's side prior to plugging it in it was fine.

    San Diego Breweries?

Coronado Brewing Company the beer was just fine, but the Diablo Shrimp are amazing.

    Wyeast Smack Pack

I just had the same issue.. I still pitched it without swelling and while it took 3 1/2 days to show active signs of fermentation.. my airlock is working now. I would agree that a starter would be a better idea though, I just pitched mine, no starter.

    I need a Hop Expert.

    I LOVE my LHBS

It's over an hour drive to my "local" homebrew store.. so in other words, I hate you :p

2 batches under my belt - now let's get serious

Beersmith is free to try too, but I ended up buying it because it's awesome :)

    Waiting...

They more than likely load it in the morning with all the other trucks, then when your driver comes in it actually leaves the warehouse. Commercial drivers can't be on the road that many hours (unless delivery is different?)
