    First batch of IPA

    I am making an IPA for the first time, but I need to know if I am using too much malt...I'm making 2 gallons and using 2.4 lbs of pale malt extract and 1.2 lbs of amber malt extract. Is that the right amount or should I lose a little of the extract???

    Smells Like Grapefruit!!! HELP!!!

    This might be a strange newbie question but, I heard somewhere that you can use wheat germ you buy in the grocery store to improve the head in beer. Is there any truth to this and how should it be used?
