    DIY Beer Line Cleaner

What SEndorf said. This was a meant to be a means of cleaning out your beer lines between kegs. You should still disassemble and clean your taps

That should do it. I'm assuming the sprayers haven't changed over the years but who knows. Mine's still going strong.

    "Makgeolli"

Yes. But keep it in the keezer when it done. It'll continue to ferment. Vent it every one in a while.

    DIY Beer Line Cleaner

Ive kind of been out of the loop for a while but I want to provide an update to this thread. I was able to track down the manufacturer of my original liquid post. Its an Eaton Hansen 2-KL-F fitting which has a 5/8-18 UNF thread. You can get them on AmazonSupply...

That's an excellent variation to the original! I like the fact that you can screw the 1/4 FFL directly to the sprayer without any adapters. This can be used with either ball or pin lock systems with flare fittings.

This was the original ball lock liquid post I got at Brewmasters Warehouse. Apparently it's out of stock. http://www.brewmasterswarehouse.com/product/0102273/ball-lock-liquid-post-assembly-firestone

    DIY Venturi Cold Smoker

I typically smoke my malt for an hour. I then put it in a paper bag to age for about a week before I use it. I've compared by oak smoked wheat to the Wyermann oak smoked wheat and mine has a more intense smokiness in the finished beer

Very nice. Just used my original the other day to cherry smoke some 2 row for a smoked porter.

The 1/2" pipe fits inside the 1/2"MIP portion of the compression fitting. See pic on post number 6. Its just a dry fit. I didn't solder anything on this project. Hope this helps.

My perspective on this is as follows: Do not assume that this pump is food grade. Even after cleaning do not assume that this pump is safe to use, and poses no risk to you, your system or your beer. If you have the least concern, please do not build and use this cleaner. I certainly do not want...

Catch-all thread to discuss brewing 100% brett beers.

I had the same problem using all Brett C Finished the beer off with French saison yeast. At least I got a drinkable beer and not a dumper

dimple and solder herms coil thru HLT wall?

Soldering a SS 1\2 inch coupler provides a sturdy attachment point for the coil and external fittings. I'd worry that the copper pipe might get damaged over time

    Makgeolli (Korean Rice Wine)

You can ferment in a ferm bucket if you like. Unlike beer and cider making you want to stir the makgeolli daily while it ferments. The nice thing about fermenting in a clear jar is that its easy to see when the rice cap falls. You don't want to use regular glass bottles for the makgeolli as it...
