    Is this CO2 tank current?

Bad news. Got to Airgas, they said it is a "non-standard" tank and I can only have it tested at Richmond Oxygen, the company that has the sticker on it. So, wife and I are heading up to Ashland next week and I'll drop it off there to get tested and filled. They also said once it is tested...

    Is this CO2 tank current?

He originally was asking 10.00 for it all, a great deal at that, but I only had 6.00 on me, so he took that. Although my wife had more money, she wasn't close to me at the time. Plus I think the dudes wife was pushing him to get rid of it...

    Is this CO2 tank current?

I called Airgas today, and told the guy I have a dog of a tank that's NOT been hydro'd recently, he said to bring it down and they'll swap it for another 10# (not a hashtag, lol) cylinder of my choice. Aluminum or steel....only $25.00! Great deal over all, especially since I only paid $6.00...

    Is this CO2 tank current?

Yep, it's steel, it's heavy as hell too! I may go the airgas route if that's where it takes me. 1986 is the year after I graduated high school! So this is an old tank, but not as old as me. I actually have my 30th high school reunion this year! Thanks

    Is this CO2 tank current?

I believe you are right. I think it's some kinda coincidence the year matches the psi....how weird. Thanks!

    Is this CO2 tank current?

Yeah, I've had a few already too... I also found this stamp on the other side. The only thing is the closest fill places are 20 to 30 minutes away, one tests on sits and the other sends away. Not a rush either since I don't have anything fermenting, yet.

    Is this CO2 tank current?

Is this Co2 tank current in its hydro cert? I recently acquired it at a yard sale along with a bunch of other goodies.

    Hello From Midlothian VA

Hi all, I am from Midlothian Virginia, technically North Chesterfield. We are in the Metro Richmond area. I have been homebrewing for 14 or so years, mainly extract brewing but want to see what else there is to see out there. Also interested in making my own wine as well. I believe I...

    Still fermenting?

Thanks for the reply, I just took a reading and it hasn't changed from the last reading. I just find it strange that in only 20 minutes it bubbles but isn't fermenting. I do a pretty good job of keeping the temerature the same, no cats or dogs go in there...and NO one has messed with it since...

    Still fermenting?

Is it possible for my beer to still be fermenting since being brewed on November 23rd? I have noticed in the airlock that the bubbler thing keeps floating up as if there is pressure being built up in the fermenter, that is after I relieve the pressure. It will take about 20 minutes or so and I...

Attention new brewers, yes your original gravity reading is wrong. Don't panic.

He is just joking around, hence the jk after his post.

Attention new brewers, yes your original gravity reading is wrong. Don't panic.

Hi Anthony, Thanks for the reply. I boiled 2 1/2 gallons of water, added the two cans of light malt extract then added the DME to the boil. It was a nice long boil, hour and 15 minutes at least. I added all the volume of the wort into my fermenter except for 1/2 inch of wort (maybe a bit...

Attention new brewers, yes your original gravity reading is wrong. Don't panic.

I purchased and brewed a West Coast Pale Ale recently. It says the O.G. should be between 1.046 and 1.055. I did take my sample from the top of the carboy and while I did shake it, it was not as long as I probably should have. Also, during the boil, I added 3 pounds of DME to increase the...
