    Electrical short in control panel!

Yeah the neutral shouldn't be connected to the switch. Since you're powering the PWM separately you can just cap it off. You also probably have the two different sources connected somehow to get the short when the 220V power is not plugged in.

    Erlenmeyer? No.

The erlenmeyer also has a nice flat bottom that won't throw the stir bar. Sometimes it's hard to get the stir bar to stay put in a jar/jug.

    Electrical short in control panel!

It's going to be hard to help without pictures since the wiring diagram you posted is not what you really have going on. Again (from your other thread) I will ask: DO YOU HAVE A MULTI METER? If not you really need to get one. You can check continuity to see if you have a short between one of...

    5500W Heat Element to LED

Do you have a multi meter? If you do, test the switch and figure out how to hook it up. If you don't, go get one now before moving on with your build. It's really essential if you are going to be doing this kind of project. That being said, I would guess that 1 and 2 are the incoming terminals...

Help with eHerms - 240v/5500w elements

You can either switch between two SSR's with a regular DPDT toggle switch between the PID and SSR's or switch between the two elements with a contactor between a single SSR and the elements but you will still ned a toggle switch to control the contactor. The two SSR option seems simpler to me.

    Most basic electric possible

If you guys want to fight about semantics of phases you should go to an electricians forum and not hijack someone else's thread. To the OP, the most basic electric would be a water heater element controlled by a pwm in your BK to heat mash/spare water and to also boil your wort. Search any of...

    Misc. fittings for sale

The thermo has a 12" long probe. It's the basic kind you'd get with a basic starter kit. It is held into the 1/8" fitting by a compression fitting so you can adjust it to whatever depth you need.
