    How long will crushed grain last

    I've got some in the freezer from 3 months ago that I wouldn't think twice about using, and I plan on it. You can get mold and bugs though so I always make sure to seal it and pop it in the freezer ASAP until I need it. Waste not want not, it can't be too bad.

    sounds like my first batch a few weeks ago. everyone on here and at my lhbs told me to let it go longer than a week, 2-3 if you can wait, mine tuned out great even after all kinds of newbie snafu's so yours will probably be fine as well.

    Yeah, it does cycle on and off. ive got a gas burner in the garage, just like the warmth of the inside is all. Im going to give the foil trick a try first though.

    I had issues getting my BK to boil on my glass stove top, if I read correctly if i give it a good wrap with aluminum foil I can improve the time getting and holding a boil?

    so, would it be alright in the primary for about a month? the reason I ask is I am brewing it and then im going out of town after the 2nd week, ill be back at the end of the 3rd week and would bottle at the end of the 4th week.
