I like to pick up a kit every once in a while just to switch it up and try someone else's recipe. Plus, everything comes together and makes brew day just a little bit easier. I think it is a good idea if you are trying out new equipment.

That is pretty much the same thing that happened to me. The roaster went dead after 34 roasts. I did ship mine back, forget how much, and it took over 3 weeks to get the new one. By then I had a Behmor 1600 and gave away the new Fresh roast they sent me. I roast 1/2lb at a time and it works...

I agree. You should have enough time for the beer to age but the spices will take longer. Brew it, it will still be good after the holidays!!
