Crooked dimple on keg for bushing

I have bayou classics so my walls are pretty thin... but i just thread in a fitting(like a valve) for leverage, then use a bit of force to position the fitting how i need. If you stretch the hole too much and the fitting is loose, just remove the fitting and tap the edge of the hole in whatever...

Some good info the following links http://www.howtobrew.com/appendices/appendixB-3.html http://morebeer.com/brewingtechniques/library/backissues/issue2.6/palmer.html EDIT: also good info on all brazing alloys http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_brazing_alloys

    Soldering Stainless steel

I'd think a propane torch could handle that, might take a while. Propane is common for brazing. Max flame heat for propane is ~1900 on air. A Map Pro(or similar) torch would be better though, and handy to have around anyways. Either way, you need to be careful with stainless around brazing temps...

Try adding a washer under the magnets, set the magnets on it(I stack mine), and glue it all down. Worked for me

    Soldering Stainless steel

Here's a couple I've done. Turned out great, used PVC coupler, washers, and bolts from stuff I had laying around. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003RWTYPA/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 This is actually slightly too big, so i just put a pvc spacer inside the coupler to stop it from going all...

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

Nothin' pretty, but works well and was easy to build. We've got 2 identical 62qt Bayou's for HLT and BK, 1 84qt Bayou for MLT. "Erector set" brewstand; unfortunately I live in a town house and no longer have a welder. 2 chugger pumps. :( I've done a few upgrades since this pic, see...

    "Long term" sanitization for pumps?

Ya, I forgot to mention that was a worry of mine as well. I could try the drain completely and cap. They're chugger pumps with stainless heads, so I've already swapped before. Would prefer not to dis/assemble every time I brew though, trying to keep brew days shorter and it all kind of adds up...

    "Long term" sanitization for pumps?

So unfortunately my brew rig has to sit outside in the elements(with a cover) and don't really care for the idea of nastys getting inside the pump heads. I've been thinking about keeping the lines attached(camlocks with plugs) and filling with sanitizer. It would have to be something that...
